Statistical Hadronization Phenomenology

Abstract

I will review the statistical hadronization models currently used to describe particle abundances in heavy ion collisions, focusing on the physical scenarios underlying them, and on what they can tell us about the phase structure of the system. I will then describe ways these models can be falsified experimentally, focusing on Strangeness enhancement, and fluctuations of particle ratios.
